NWF State College Seeking Funds to Break Ground on Indoor Practice Facility
NICEVILLE, FL- Investment in new training facilities is a necessity for premier athletic programs, not only to keep players in top performance condition but also to attract top recruits. This past fall the NWF Raiders Athletics program launched a campaign to raise funds to build an Indoor Practice Facility for the Baseball and Softball teams. As proposed, the 10,000 square-foot, brick facility will contain five all-purpose tunnels with Burbank Sports nets, artificial turf flooring, LED lighting inside, exterior lighting for safety and will be fully climate controlled for year-round practice.
Once complete, this facility will help the teams build upon their record of success on the field. Even more importantly, it will provide a consistent routine for NWF student-athletes which will improve the quality of their academic experience. The facility will also be available to local high schools and the community when not in use by NWF students and coaches.
The total cost of the project is $467,571.
“We are more than half way to our goal and so grateful to our Raider Community for what they’ve done already,” says Dr. Devin Stephenson, President. “However, we still need $130,135 before we can break ground. Our hope is to raise the additional funds this spring to ensure that the facility will be ready for use by the start of the fall term.”
