Center for Lifelong Learning Gives Gift to First Generation in College Scholarship
The Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) provided a $1,000 gift to Northwest Florida State College to support the First Generation in College Scholarship program. Donations to this scholarship fund are matched by the state as part of the First Generation Matching Grant (FGMG). The First Generation in College Scholarship provides scholarships to Florida undergraduate residents who demonstrate financial need and whose parents have not earned a baccalaureate degree.
The CLL’s mission focuses on providing educational activities for persons who believe that learning never ends. The CLL offers an array of volunteer-led classes on the joint campus of NWF and University of West Florida in Fort Walton Beach.
