Niceville, FL - On Tuesday, March 08, 2016, Tom Franklin, President of the Destin Snowbirds Club, presented a $5,000 check to Dr. Jeremy Ribando, Chair of the Humanities, Fine & Performing Arts Division at Northwest Florida State College, to support the college's music and performing arts programs and scholarships.

This season, two college musical groups, the Soundsations Showchoir and the Jazz Ensemble, provided entertainment at club meetings and the Destin Snowbirds again sponsored an annual Snowbirds Concert at the college's Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville as a fundraiser. The club's total donations to the college this year totaled $6,550 and over the 25-year partnership with the college, the Destin Snowbirds have donated more than $152,000 -- impacting the lives of hundreds of performing arts students.

Thank you Destin Snowbirds!
